Dima has been interested in photography since his early teens. He started taking action photos of his friends snowboarding, BMX riding and doing aggressive inline skating. As time went on, he moved from still photography to video. With the help of extreme athletes, he started filming action videos of extreme sports.
As a solo artist, he learned to edit, sound design, light and be a complete cinematographer for short films.
In 2016, he left his hometown for Moscow to study at a film school while also working on miniseries as a second unit dp and camera operator on a TV series. While working on short movies, he realized that this type of creative work was more fulfilling. He found more freedom to express his artistic vision while making music videos and advertising. This was where he could combine the real and imagined worlds.
Also, Dima lived in Buenos Aires, Argentina, where he absorbed the visual style and culture of Latin America, and studied filmmaking and art at the Subiela film school.
Dima speaks Russian, English, and Spanish, and is available for work worldwide.
